2024 was a productive year

It's been a hell of a year for the Double Smooth team and we definitely made massive progress! We presented at New Media Ventures in the bay, San Diego Comic Con and KhemFest in New Jersey with a pitch that included our first trailer.

justin polley and Jhorinson Dominguez completed all sequences in story early in the year. Goro Fujita hit us with some crazy previs work in Quill. Those famous quillustrations hit different! The final weekend of 2024 our director Andre Rodriguez along with our sound designer Zenan Robinson headed to LA to record all principle dialogue with some top tier actors; William Christopher Stephens and Brandon Mendez Homer; they had Dre in his feelin's y'all! Most of the main cast is fully modeled thanks to Omar Sancristobal , Elyssa Ketchersid and Steve Arguello! Juice will be rigged very soon! CLEVELAND HIBBERT has jumped on the project in sets lookdev and he hit the ground running; the sets are looking CRAZY! Jhorinson Dominguez is moving sequences into layout and they look spectacular. Dominick Bedasse is tightening story points and coming in clutch with great comp adjustments. William H. Frake in all his wisdom, continues to advise and guide us in how to make those crucial story moments more impactful. Rebecca Linthwaite is focused in as editing lead, working with her team to get that final story reel locked. Set TD's Francesca Mendoza, Gabriel Williams and Dionna Shire are turning out great looking assets. Omar Gomet hit us with some amazing character design work and color keys that will be invaluable in the coming year. One of our newest team members, Stefan Mirvil, is a story artist, character/set designer and visual development artist. He's been bringing his A game for the last few months and with it came our first official poster for Double Smooth. Stefan was able to take the rough provided by Dre and bring it to a stellar finish; the poster is hittin'! Approved, homie! There are so many masters on this team, we just wanted to take a moment to highlight a few. To name all of them would take all of 2025, but you all are equally appreciated! And speaking of 2025, may your 2025 be filled with family, friends, joy, laughter and art. Happy new year from team Double Smooth! Peace!
